Steve brings over 45 years of comprehensive commercial experience to the Board, with a distinguished career spanning the mining, and corporate banking sectors. His broad expertise encompasses contract negotiation, risk assessment, corporate governance, and financial management.
Currently serving as Director of Commercial Operations at Breight Group since 2015, Steve oversees a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts for industry-leading clients. He is known for his ability to manage complex contract frameworks, drive continuous improvement, and ensure rigorous compliance with performance, legal, and safety requirements.
Prior to his role at Breight Group, Steve spent seven years at National Australia Bank as Director and Head of Corporate Banking, structuring complex financial transactions, managing credit risk, and building strong relationships with a wide range of business clients and stakeholders. He has a deep understanding of corporate finance and treasury functions, equipping him with a sound application to organisational strategy and sustainability.
Steve holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
